Building a life i won't regret

Figures as of October 24, 2026.

"I build things at the intersection of technology, media and artificial intelligence."

I build tools, media and training that help ambitious young Africans, on the continent and in the diaspora, start businesses online. One rule: learn, build, improve, one project at a time.

AI does not replace the developer. It replaces slowness.

“You can always tell when a site was made by an AI.” I heard it again this week. So I decided to record my screen and let you judge for yourselves. AI does not replace the developer. It replaces slowness. What used to take me weeks I now structure in a few days, because I know what to ask it — and above all what to check afterwards. Watch the video to the end. Then tell me honestly: at what point did you “see” that it was made with AI?

Promises were yesterday. We are now in the era of proof.

This week, two opposing forces pulled on the world at once: markets began doubting AI while the rest of the world doubled down on it. As the “Magnificent Seven” shed $2.7 trillion, France brought AI into high schools, Africa raised hundreds of millions, and Microsoft launched its own models. Welcome to the week the era of enthusiasm officially gave way to the era of execution.

This week, AI put a number on your worth. And the answer may surprise you

SpaceX acquires Cursor (Anysphere) for $60 billion. PwC published its figures. Workers fluent in AI earn 56% more than the rest. On the other side, Stanford reports that employment among young people (22–25) has fallen 16% since generative AI arrived. The divide is no longer theoretical. It is in salaries, in CVs, in job postings. And it widens every week.

150,000 tech jobs cut. 275,000 AI roles unfilled. This week, I stopped seeing a crisis and saw a redistribution.

SpaceX went public on 12 June at $135 a share. It closed at $161 on day one — up 19% — pushing its valuation above $2 trillion, ahead of Amazon and rivalling Meta. The largest IPO in history. Meanwhile, the ECB raised rates to 2.25% on 11 June, facing services inflation stuck at 3.1%. And a nascent US–Iran deal sent Brent crude down toward $88, lifting markets in Paris and New York.

Three upheavals this week. And why they concern you

AI taking off. The old oil order cracking. And money flowing back toward us, toward Africa. Every week, too much happens to keep track of it all. We break it down.
